Mobile Mapping

Mobile Mapping is the process of collecting geospatial data from a mobile vehicle (e.g. car, quad, boat, train, drone or aircraft). It's a fast way to collect up-to-date data on a large scale in less time. Mobile Mapping is typically fitted with a range of 360° and HR video, photos or any number of remote sensing systems. The primary output from such system include mostly GIS data, digital maps and georeferenced images and video.

Through experience we gathered and developed a lot of "know how" on registering the public space. Knowledge we use to keep our Mobile Mapping software at the highest level.

We combine high accuracy GPS/INS with 360°, High resolution and Infrared cameras.

Creating a setup for rapid update of public space, as efficient road conditions surveys. asset management, automatic detection of road markings, traffic signs and light poles.

This will help you focusing on assessing areas and roadsides that require maintenance. The productivity of inspections increase significantly. You can cover a much larger area in less time.

1. Stack & Connect

with the Horus Recorder Builder

Starting a recording session will only take a few minutes. Our Mobile Mapping software can work on a variety of systems either on the road, on the water or in the air. Set up the camera, choose your configuration and press Start.

Just drag, drop and connect the hardware with the Horus Recorder Builder and the software will take care of it all.

2. Process

Create and Process your own scenes

The Horus Movie Maker can be used to edit the recordings, select the useful recordings and to cut out sections that aren't needed.

You can export the recrodings to several formats (Mp4 or .AVI) or export the video to photo's (jpeg, bmp, png). If you have recorded GPS data you are able to export the photo's for each X linear meter. (e.g. every 5 meter a photo)

The Horus Position Fixer Can be used to correct the recordings. Use the Horus Position Fixer to post process the GPS data based on Virtual Reference Stations to improve accuracy.

The Horus scene Builder can be used to create your own stitch, blending, cropping, distortion. Minimal light conditions? A camera was off position? No problem for the Scene Builder to correct it!

3. Analyse your assets

with the Horus Movie Player

Watch geo-referenced video, zoom in or navigate on the map. The Horus Movie Player is free software to view and play Horus video. Use the module Layermanager to project GIS/CAD data in georeferenced video and on the map, add or update geometries. Check your topography, assets and adjust the geometry.

Create Geotiff files out of street level imagery. Create High resolution "Aerial Photo" based on your recordings, our software will do the ortho projection.

4. Share your data and projects

Use the Horus Webplayer to publish and share your panoramic data on the web, combined with spatial data. Organize your recordings and share these recordings with project member in or outside your organisation. The Horus Webplayer has a build in security store, controlling access to our recording hough account based access.

Integrate your webservices in the webplayer, or even maintain your assets using the web edit capabilities of the Webplayer. Or even integrate the Horus Webplayer in your own existing web application using the Webplayer API.
